Blessings

So...it's been a year since I've blogged. I have to be honest, the non user-friendly format has kept me from it. I figured a quick update was in order though. :)
We have had an eventful year. We added baby Briggs to our family in August. I ended up on partial bedrest for two months before he was born and was off work. Then he decided to come a bit early, at 37 weeks, and ended up on CPAP for 12 hours and in the NICU for almost 3 whole days. I have to say I am grateful that he is now healthy and I am so relieved to be healthy myself. It felt like I had been holding my breath for 9 months-hoping and praying nothing would go wrong. I knew I was high risk to begin with, but as the pregnancy progressed things became even more high risk (bleeding, contracting, polyhydramnios, abnormal test results). Heavenly Father really blessed our family through that hard time- and even with all the emotional ups and downs, we made it through. Every second of worry was worth it. I feel so relieved and at peace with my life now that I know Briggs and I are both doing well! He is three months old and though he has been our fussiest baby, we love him so much. He always has big smiles for me and we love watching him grow.
We have also started to build a house that will be done in the next couple of months. I can't believe it has finally happened-we have worked and planned for years and things finally fell into place. We found a beautiful lot and Bryant is busy with all the finish work. I am so thankful to have such a talented, hard working, and creative husband. We can't wait to have more space for our boys to play! Bryant has worked so hard in his life and I feel like he truly deserves this chance to have a beautiful home where he can showcase his creativity and talent. I'm just the lucky one who gets to share it with him. :)
Trippster is doing so well in first grade and loves it! We are discovering how social he is and also how much he loves reading. He's on his fourth "Diary of a Wimpy Kid." We can't keep up with how fast he is reading them!
Chantz has opened up this year and has overcome a lot of his shyness. Swimming lessons and preschool have helped him to become more confident. It is so fun for me to see him interact with his friends and cousin Parker at school.
This year has been fabulous and our family has experienced more blessings that I can count. I am going to name just a few:
  - Going to Chase and Melissa's wedding
  - Spending a weekend at Warm Lake
  - Having four months off work to spend with my family
I will post pictures as soon as I can. For now, at least I updated on the basics!
