Bath Time

I have decided that sometimes I don't give Tripp enough credit. He is truly one smart little guy, and seems to almost always know what is going on around him. Yesterday I was in the family room and Tripp had been playing in his bedroom...or so I thought. I sat down in the recliner for a minute and suddenly smelled something that reminded me a lot of Baby Magic Baby Wash. I thought to myself, "Wow, that smells great! It kind of reminds me of Tripp's bathtime!" Only then did I look over into Tripp's room and find no sign of him. I quickly got up and looked into the bathroom, and this is what I saw:

This is his bathtime chair. It hooks to the inside of the tub so he can take a bath in the "big boy bath." When he isn't using it, it sits on the floor next to the tub. Well, he had taken the matter into his own hands. He had his legs through the holes and had grabbed the Baby Magic off the tub and was squirting it into his hands and all over himself, and rubbing his hands together. I called his name and he jumped about a mile. Here is the guilty face:

Now no one can tell me the child doesn't know exactly when he's doing something he shouldn't be doing. It really was hilarious though and I'm just thankful that he had chosen the bathroom to squirt out all the soap. I then proceeded to give him his bath, because it was obvious to me he was telling me that it was time!!

Later that night my mom got ahold of him and gave him his own popsicle. I'm a bit of a clean freak and have a hard time giving him something super messy that stains, especially since it was right after his bath. However, he loved every bite and ate almost the whole thing. We have been having a hard time getting him to eat anything, so I suppose the calories in that popsicle were good for him. :)

Here are a few of March highlights that I would like to share with all of you:

Tripp loves it when we let him "cook." I think he may be getting his love of cooking from his Daddy considering Bryant probably cooks more than I do!

This is Tripp's "big boy chair." It converted from a baby bouncer to a rocking chair, and I have discovered something almost as great as naptime: Put him in the chair, give him a blankie, and a toy of some kind. Then press play on the "Barney" tape and I have a few minutes of free time! Thank you "Barney at the Zoo!"

Tripp was able to spend some time with his cousins a while back. Here is a picture of him with his slightly older cousin Grant. I'm thinking they are great friends already. :)
