Surprise Weekend!

Last week I was having a bit of a rough time. Not for any real reason, it was just one of those times where even the little things stress me out. Bryant could tell I was upset and was so sweet to just let me cry out my frustrations to him. Two days later I woke up in the afternoon (I had worked all night before) and called Bryant to see how his day was going. He replied that it was good, and that I needed to pack and be ready by five to go out of town for two nights. Wow was I surprised! Bryant had booked us a room at the Sun Valley Lodge! Here we are at the ice rink behind the lodge:
So, when you walk into this place you feel like royalty. The doormen even open your car door for you and they have British accents-loved it! I really felt spoiled staying there. This is one of the hallways in the lodge. All the architecture in the building is from the 1930's. It has a very unique, rich feeling. The pictures on the walls are of celebrities that have stayed there.

This is the main lobby. I love all the beautiful chandeliers!
Bryant took me to dinner at the Sawtooth Club (picture below). It is a nice restaurant and we both had some delicious seafood. Our favorite place we ate at was Cristina's though. It is a charming little cottage converted into a restaurant. The chef, Cristina, is from Italy and cooks every meal herself. We absolutely loved it and will eat there again, I hope!

The bedroom was beautiful. Do you see the gold chocolate boxes they left us? This is my kind of place!

So the staircases in the inn were spiral with this beautiful pink carpet. I had to take a picture because I felt like Cinderella.

Bryant and I spend most of our time eating, shopping, and sleeping. We toured all the little shops around the Sun Valley Resort, as well as many of the downtown shops. This was my first real trip to Sun Valley so everything was new to me. The mountains are right in the backyard of the shops! To sum it up, it was the perfect weekend. My stress was relieved and I was completely spoiled to death by my amazing husband. I can't really put into words how much he means to me, or how much the trip meant to me. He took time out of his extremely busy schedule for me and arranged all the babysitting and made sure it was as stress free as possible--for me. All I can say is that I hope every girl has the change to be loved like Bryant loves me!
