Merry Christmas...and Other Random Memories...

Well the second half of December was just as exciting as the first. We had a great Christmas this year. Tripp let us sleep in until 8am thankfully and we were all so excited that Santa had come! It means we must have done something right this year. :) Tripp opened his stocking to find many exciting things, however, Daddy's stocking was much more interesting. Santa's elves had made Daddy a miniature wisk. And boy oh boy Tripp didn't put that thing down until we left the house!

Santa brought Tripp his own firetruck which turned out to be a hit. He now has a train and a firetruck that he can ride around on. Really the phrase I'm avoiding is "spoiled rotten." Without a doubt.

Mommy helping Tripp figure out how to get all that wrapping paper out of the way:

He posed for the camera: What a good sport :)

After the rest of the gift giving, Bryant made us breakfast and then we headed over to se my family. Once again, Tripp received a carload of presents which he loved. It was great to be able to spend time with everyone, and my little brother Brice called us from San Jose California. He comes home from his mission in June and we are so excited. He sounds like he is having a grand old time out there. Later we all went and saw "Marley and Me" which everyone thought was a pretty good movie, just really sad at the end. Later that night I had the chance to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. I am glad we have a time set aside to specifically celebrate the birth of our Savior. I am forever grateful for what he has done for me, and expecially greatful that he has made it possible for families to be together forever.

For New Year's Bryant, Tripp and I went out to eat at Olive Garden. It was nice to be out, however we both now remember why we usually don't go there...we are definitely more into steak and potatoes than pasta. As lame as we were we all went to be before midnight...

Here are a couple random pictures from the holidays. Tripp played in all the boxes his toys came in for about a week.

He fit perfectly in this box:

He has been taking some personal time to catch up on his reading:

He has decided that standing on the train is more fun than simply riding on it:

He likes wearing Daddy's shoes:

Well, that wraps up the holidays!

Abrie.
I'm still learning some things on blogger. How do I sort my link list so that it shows me when one of my links (or a blog I follow) has been updated- like you have all yours set to do. Does that make sense? I try to edit mine and it only gives me the option to sort alphabetically or not. Maybe you can help?
